Biografia:
Durante sua carreira o grupo se tornou infame por seus conflitos, tanto públicos quanto privados, particularmente entre os irmãos Ray e Dave, que frequentemente degringolavam em agressões. Depois de uma carreira que atravessou os anos 60, 70 e 80 com algumas mudanças de formação, os Kinks desbandaram nos anos 90, quando os projetos solo dos irmãos Davies passaram a ter mais importância para eles.No começo de 2000 rumores de uma reunião dos Kinks começaram a circular, mas incidentes ocorridos com os irmãos Davies em 2004 (Ray levou um tiro na perna ao perseguir assaltantes em Nova Orleans em 4 de janeiro e Dave sofreu um derrame cerebral em Londres em 30 de junho) adiaram quaisquer tentativas de reagrupar a banda novamente.
